I went to my Dick Karnes S Gauge Herald index and looked up Alan Whidden. Alan wrote several articles for the Herald, and Frank featured Alan in the Herald's Winter 1963 Vol. 4 No. 1 Personal Glimpse column, page 20. Note; Coordinating the correct issue Vol. & Year of the Herald's around years 1963-64 is a little touchy, as Frank and Wally changed the issue dates around at that time to get the Herald into a calendar year. The Herald has this one as Winter 1963 and Dick has it listed as December 1963. Hey, I'm not knocking Dick's great work! Just warning those of you who have the Heralds that its at times difficult to locate an item in those years.
