Hi All,

The newest issue of the Keystone, the magazine of the Pennsylvania Railroad
Technical & Historical Society will have a mention of Howie Waelder's
passing in it. It will be mailed in the next week or so. I collaborated with
a few people and sent the write up to my friend Chuck Blardone who is the
editor. There may be a photo of Howie and me with it too.

I am asking everyone who knew and loved Howie as most of us did, to join the
PRR T&HS at least for 1 year in honor of Howie. He went to many of the
conventions with us and openly supported the society with his donations.
Like most train and railroad related organizations, our membership is not
growing like it used to. We could use a little help here. What you WILL get
for your membership is 4 issues of the BEST first class railroad historical
society publication printed on TIME for at least the past 20 years.

You will get the 2 issues from this year quickly. However at some time in
the future, you will get the part of Howie that we all loved most - some of
his stories. In writing his "Last Markers" I collected some of Howie's
stories from many of you getting this email. Vic Roseman made some wonderful
cartoon drawings to go with the stories. Chuck said that Howie's stories
will be printed with Vic's drawings in tribute to Howie.

Subject: Re: May Meeting

A real treat for this month will be our first meeting at Wally
Collin's. He has a modest S scale layout in167 Country Club Dr.,
Oradell, NJ 07649. We are planning this on Saturday at 1 PM. Please
RSVP if you are planning on attending. I know only a few will be able
to view Wally's layout at a time. The phone number in the NASG
directory is 201-262-0100, I am not sure if Wally's area code changed.
    Hoping to see you there.
Best regards,
Don
