Does anybody have the overall dimention of the cab (proto).

I bought a Matchbox mail van some time back. It looked a bit big, so I'd like
to know.

I have one, and will photograph it it later tonight. It does scale
very well compared to the Hartoy trucks, and is about 8'6" wide at
the widest point of the cab.

As to the rarity, if you search on EBAY right now for "1948 GMC
Matchbox" you will find one fire truck, two dump trucks, two Coca
Cola bottle trucks and two van bodies one Coke, on Jim Beam). Most
list the size as 1/43 - maybe the bodies are, but the cab is much
too small for that.
