Another idea would be to buy an AF-compatible doodlebug from American
Hi-Rail (Tom Hodgson?) which is an upsized Bachmann HO doodlebug (if
the rumors are true). Carving off details, adding new details,
removing paint, adding new paint, applying decals, replacing large-
flanged wheels with scale wheels, adding seats, crew, class lights,
headlight, interior lights, passengers, windows, window shades, etc.
can result in a decent looking doodlebug also. Good luck....Ed L.
