Gentlemen
John Verser of PRS / Gold Coast has given me permission to scan and post his
Time Table 18, in which he describes future plans for the company. The most
significant is his intention to start selling the cars assembled, ready to run
(RTR). It's in this group's files section, titled TT#18.
If you've assembled any PRS kits, you know the detail of a completed car
compares to SHS cars, so having the PRS cars RTR should be a boon to most of us.
I know some feel that the trend toward having everything ready to run is one
more indication that Western Civilization is going down the tubes. And maybe
it is, but it's reality. Clumsy as I am, I enjoy trying to put a kit together,
but it's just a matter of not enough hours in the day.
Anyway, John also told me he's planning some more 50 ft boxcars, including a
Grand Trunk boxcar.
