The now infamous Passenger Car Poll indicates about equal interest for
generic or authentic models within each of the following three
groupings:
1. RTR generic smoothsides/RTR authentic smoothsides
2. RTR generic heavyweights/RTR authentic heavyweights
3. Kit generic heavyweights/Kit authentic heavyweights
Only in the grouping of "Kit generic smoothsides/Kit authentic
smoothsides" is there a substantial preference for the authentic model.
For this grouping, the authentic model received about twice as many
votes.
My conclusion, for what it might be worth, is that roughly equal numbers
of us would purchase a generic car as would buy an authentic car.
Interesting, eh? Of course, the votes are still coming in.
