Can't believe the volume of messages on Passenger Cars. Voted on the
poll. Hope something comes of it. I love the NASG cars I purchased.
About Kids, Trains & Christmas.
True there are less youngsters interested in Model Railroading &
Trains in general.
I've gotten down on the Hobby myself a few times in the past,
although there's more available now, better & cheaper (painted & RTR)
than before (no matter what the Scale)!
I don't doubt we may be the last generation to participate in the
hobby en masse.
However, DO YOU WANT TO GO OUT LIKE A LION OR A LAMB?
Does it really matter what the next generation decides to do? Yes, I
realize the ramifications about shrinking markets, future investment,
etc... But the Baby Boomer generation is still the largest segment of
the population, and health care improvements may keep us active for a
long time to come.
Have you ever seen a "bikers" rally? There are more gray-haired
riders than young ones! Harley-Davidsons are still selling briskly,
and some can cost more than a S Scale Layout.
I intend to go out Roaring!
