Bill, Some of us "Old Time" modelers are converting either On30 (Bachmann and others) or On3 (Precision Scale and others) trucks to S scale standard gauge. You might check out the Precision Scale website to look at their selection of On3 trucks. For quick reference, 4' in O scale converts to 5'4" in S, and 3'7" in O converts to almost 4'10". And their passenger trucks convert to S scale nicely too. Of course the freight trucks are a little pricey, but they are reeeeeellly nice. You can add about 0.050" shim to each end of the bolster to accomodate NWSL S scale wheels.
