ED:
This is in response to your inquiry concerning trestle plans for,
"...Plastruct or similar material..."
While I'm certain such plans exist somewhere in the tombs of MR, why not
consider wood instead of plastic? A fairly new S supplier of wooden trestles is
Hunterline www.hunterline.com . Their trestles are also available from Scenery
Unlimited www.heimburgerhouse.com. And, per Hunter's latest ad, they will be
present at the convention in Pontiac as they were in Altoona. Per their ad,
they exclusively use Mt. St. Alberts lumber which is really good stuff
manufactured by Gerry Cornwell who doesn't pronounce his name correctly, but,
none-the-less, is a nice guy and also a staunch supporter of S for the past six
to seven years. Wooden trestles are still in use so there is no necessity to
not continue to place them on layouts. For example, still in use by the UP is
the most awesome wooden trestle I've ever seen just outside of Weingarten, MO
between Ste. Genevieve and Farmington. Long way from Stockton, but worth the
trip.
