I ran a real one on the Keokuk Junction from 1990 to 1992. Pretty neat
old engine, really nice to listen to when climbing out of the LaMoine
River valley. 6 cars or 16, 6MPH, tops.

Interesting, I examined Santa Fe 4-8-4 #2913 (Hi-speed rail, anyone)
on display in the park at Ft. Madison, and it had a "new and improved"
version of the brake system used on the S2.

I guess it should have, since #2913 is 5 years newer, itself!
