Hi all
I have kept my peace pretty well till now but the k4 sort of caught my interest
because i agree it represent such a narrow market. What we need is something
like the prime motive power of the French Broad and Rocky Bottom. It was a
2-2-2 camelback run tender forward. Trouble was the engineer, Shorty Grimes,
could not see over the tender so they took bailing wire and attached a step
ladder to the cab room and duck taped a chair to the ladder so shorty could see
the track. It worked though it was a little hart on shorty in the winter. It
would be a real eye catcher on any layout.
