And oh, yes.  

For the number boards on the 35's I use AM's standard bulb with a
bigger resistor to reduce brightness.  I got a socket for the back truck
to illuminate the rear bulbs.  I've got them wired a couple of different
ways - one directly to the power by-passing the decoder so that the
number boards are always illuminated (or I'm tapping off the motor
output I can't remember), the other through the decoder so that it is
switched with the headlamps.  I've also got a clunky box that's visible
through the windshield to eliminate the lighted cab effect.  Pick your
worse dislike  - mine is the illuminated cab rather than the ugly box.
