   Hi John, Modeling proto scale is similiar to building trackwork in
a smaller scale but with the operating advantage of greater equipment
weight. I've found P48 has about the same size flanges and
construction tolerances as common HO scale but runs smoother due to
heavier cars and locos. I haven't tried P64 but it's probably no worse
than  N scale tolerances so unless N trains won't stay on the track I
see no reason why P64 trains can't? Is Ntrak a myth or do they
actually get together and build these  large modular layouts I've read
about?
