WARNING! I have been ripped off by an ebay "power seller" going by ebay name: traditionalhobbies, the persons name is: Doug Swanson.
Doug Swanson 509 Wood Road Oak Brook, IL 60523-2722 email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] phone: (630)455-4076 after 6PM CST IF YOU HAVE ORDERED ITEMS FROM THE ABOVE EBAY POWER SELLER AND NOT RECIEVED THEM OR NOT RECIEVED A REFUND, OR IF YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR MONTHS TO GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR, CONTACT ME, LOCAL POLICE, POSTAL INSPECTORS AND FEDERAL AUTHORITIES, AND Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). I would welcome any assistance from any S gauger/Lionel/train person who has had similar experience. Also would greatly appreciate help in Oak Brook,IL area. Below is a brief minimal listing of what has happened, to help you protect yourself. If you hear/read any of these excuses look out! Ebay has been of no assistance at all...refusing to stop this dealer. His MO is to sell AF and Lionel etc. items on ebay. You send him money and he sends you nothing, the game is that he does not do this to every single buyer. He will tell you all kinds of stories about why you have not recieved the items you paid for, including $3 postage for each item. In my case I bought five different items. This was 6 months ago. I have called this guy over a dozen times long distance and sent many emails thru ebay and directly. He does not respond to any emails. On the phone he has stated to me that items were sent (do you believe this?) by dates he quoted to ebay, before he cashed the money order! He also stated, in subsequent telephone pleas by me for him to send items or refund money (which he has refused to do), 4th week:" ...oh I have that stuff in a box on the shelf and I didn't know where to send it..." 7th week: "...I will send it out On Tuesday, Tuesday is when I ship..." 12th week: "...I will send you a refund, but wait for a few more weeks ..." 3rd month: ...I have these items right here, they will be sent out this week..." 4th month: "...I had a problem with my Avery lable printer, the lables fell off in the mail on over 40 packages..." (so there are at least 40 victims), I feel there are many more. Check out his ebay blurb on sale conditions...I should have seen a warning sign here!....on any of his items he continues to list on ebay, including items that he has not sent me. General info: I have filled with Postal Inspectors and Internet Crime Complaint Center. Other authorities are next. I did check this idividual out on ebay and his feedback before purchasing anything from him...he is skilled at putting you at ease untill it's to late to file a negative feedback. I did send numerous emails to this dealer trying to resolve this issue and get my items I paid for by money order or a complete refund..he never answered a single one directly to me. Ebay seems to be helpfull, but for items of under $25...tuff luck! over $25 you pay ebay a $25 dollar fee for persuing the dealer. The total for my five items including $3 postage for each was US$79.59. Buyer beware.... thanks for any help in advance, Dr K.
