I was speaking of a generality, only since it had been brought up already.
Also the GP-7 was included with the SD40-2, which are two different
generations of diesels. The GP-7 and PS-1 share the same time frame. WP
received their first PS-1 box car in 1951 and their first GP-7 in 1952. So
while the SD40-2 is late 2nd generation, the GP-7 and PS-1 should be two
items that fit right in with late steam. Again Ron and Don know what will
sell for them. To get a PS-1 in S scale we had to go to Kaslo. It now is
available as a kit, even with some short comings, it still is identifiable
as a PS-1. Des Plaines sells new hoods for the AM GP9 to make it a GP7.
All fine and dandy for those of us who want to do modeling. I expect there
are a goodly number who would prefer it RTR. So we know what we have to do,
after all the ore jennies were brought out by SHS. Don't be surprised if
the Auto Carrier becomes available before the PS-1 and GP-7.
