I too attended the Inter-State Get Together and had a terrific time! Thanks to
Jack and all the others who contributed their time and effort in making this
event a highly enjoyable and successful one! I hope this continues to be an
annual event. I spent the weekend in the Cleveland area with my son and his
family, so it was very convenient for me to attend even tho I live in Fremont,
about a hundred miles from Jack's. I took with me, an SHS SW-9, early version,
(from my NYC stable of course) with the new Soundtraxx DSD-101LC decoder. It
ran like a champ, sounds good and negociated slight grades with over 15 cars
attached, several of which were brass. I really like the new decoder for size,
performance and ease of installation. Only needed to solder two speaker wires
(actually 3 with the small bi-polar capacitor), plug in the 8 pin connector and
ready to go! Actually, the lions share of the work is the speaker installation
which I had previously accomplished. The new 101LC doesn't have as many sound
functions as the DSX, but they are sufficient for a diesel switcher's work.
However, it does includes motor decoder in one package at a much more
reasonable price. My next installation will be with another 101LC installed in
an AM RS-3. I took a several digital pictures with the SW-9 coupled to two
cars, but I don't have a clue how to put them on this list????????
