I called NWSL, (206) 932-1087, and talked with a guy named Fred about the S and NASG labels. I was told the difference was in the back-to- back distance. I said I have built my track according to NASG standards, and Fred told me to use the NASG wheelsets. When I began a wheel replacement program for older freight trucks, including Rex, Culp, Midgage, Perma Bilt and Northeastern, I bought #37757-4 33-inch shoulder-axle NASG wheelsets. At the time I chose NASG, figuring that was the better choice for me. My conversation with Fred today confirms this. (For my Rex trucks I also had to use Ace bushings to allow for the difference in Rex and NWSL axle ends.) Here is an S scale brochure, which is identical to a paper version that I picked up a couple of years ago at a train show: <http://nwsl.com/Brochure%20Pages/broch%20377004%20Wheelsets.htm> Finally, I asked Fred about NWSL's future. He said it's for sale, but for now it's business as usual. -- Bill Roberts Yahoo!
