I think somehow your throwbar is shorting, despite removal of the cladding on
top of the throwbar.
I don't see any screws or pins in your throwbar. Nevertheless, it is always a
good idea to gap the cladding on the bottom surface of the throwbar in case you
ever decide to replace the rigid solder connections to the points with tabs and
screws. Otherwise, screws or pins through the throwbar will short across the
cladding on the underside.
If I were you, I would unsolder and remove the throwbar and see if the problem
disappears. (This is cheaper than sending me an airplane ticket -- per Ed L.'s
suggestion.)
