The CNR had two similar cars but they did not have the open work area.  They 
were called comboose, a combined passenger and caboose car.  The number 
series was 75925-75926.  They were originally Intercolonial Railways 527 and 
543 first class coaches.

I believe that RMC had an article and drawings of these.
