Chuck, This problem list members are encountering mystifies me. Are you a digest mode user or do you get a bunch of individual messages? This makes a big difference in the Reply option(s)! Those of us that use the Digest mode get all the messages combined in one message from the S-Scale Yahoo List. At the bottom of each message is the following: Reply to sender | Reply to group | Reply via web post Obviously, you click on your preference and you get a screen just like you'd be sending to any of your friends or relatives. However, before you click on your Reply preference, it is helpful to highlight any part of the list message you want repeated and right click and hit copy. Then, as I said, click on your Reply preference. Once you do that, a message screen shows up, you put the cursor where you want the copied text to go, right click, select Paste and that part will appear on your response screen. From there on out, you just write and edit like you would on a word processor file and input your comments. If you use the Digest mode, you probably already know this! If you get your messages Individually, then it's a different ball game. You are then using your ISP's (whomever's) format for returning messages. You would most likely have options to Reply: or Reply to All. The Reply will put the individual's email address in the To: block. Reply to All will not, I repeat, WILL NOT put the S-Scale List email address in the To: block because you got the message from an individual....not the group list. Therefore, you need to type in the To: block: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:S-Scale%40yahoogroups.com> .com if you want all the list members to see your comments. Also, fill in the subject block; then copy and paste any comments you wish from the former sender's message, if you so desire. What some do and should not is copy and paste pages and pages of previous messages, when they need only copy the main thought of the previous message(s). Most yahoogroups find it convenient to periodically remind members of the etiquette, etc. for the group. It might be equally helpful to remind those over 50, in my case, close to 70, of efficient and effective ways to optimize use of the various lists. (ie. a website with instructions) If there is such a site, I'm unaware of it....it should be posted on the groups lists! If List moderators have some kind of options for format, I'm not aware of this! For anyone with better instructions, have at it.....but after many years of following various lists, this is how it works best for me with little problems in the Digest mode. For me, all Lists work basically the same. Someone commented that they follow 30 groups. But then why have a "Reply All" option? With your idea "Reply" & "Reply All" are the same thing. >Or did I miss something? I don't resist change. I resist having to do spend more time when it was such a simple choice before. >Chuck [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] Yahoo!
