I think I built the first modules according to the present standards, I am

not aware of any "standard" for set-back of track from front of module.

The standards are here  http://www.nasg.org/smodinfo.html .  You use the 
term "recommended."  Where are these recommendations?  It's true there is a 
traditional value for this set-back, but it would be foolish for a set-up 
coordinator to refuse your otherwise nice modules because the front sticks 
out a little farther than some others.
