Roy, Thanks for the update and the qualificatiion regarding the ability to unload the grain.
As to the poor response, remember that the great majority of modelers in S do not model the midwest/farm based businesses. A former kit manufacturer designed and built a more traditional grain elevator and offered it for sale. (His name escapes me at the moment ,but he was into Sn3, lived near Loveland Colorado, and passed on many years ago.) He also only got a small handful of requests for his model. I would make a guess and say that Frank Titmans's coal mine has sold many more kits than any other industrial kit offered. Another reason might be that there are darn few layouts being built at any one time. I have two of the Walther's HO grain elevator kits that have been offered in the past. By changing out a few parts and upgrading others they make fine small town elevators. They were available when I needed them so have become part of my scene and I have no desire to tear them out and start again for some time.
