Yes, Bob and all you folks out there, we could greatly benefit from an actual
realistic looking accurately scaled coupler, that featured a type of delayed
action and utilized a magneticaly activated trip pin. And then we would need
some non-overide type design for passenger and some freight cars.

Kadee produced a pilot mounted coupler kit for a specific O Atlantic (how many
of those could there possibly be?.....and they make all kinds of speciallized
couplers/installation kits for specific engines in both HO and G scale as well
as O. So huge quantity runs are not the ONLY decision factor.

That menas it's up to all S people scale, hi-rail and AF to enter into a
publicity campain via emails to Kadee that politely request a true S scale
coupler. If Kadee incorporates their wisker design, that I helped Dale Edwards
with, then you would not need the seperate spring plate of the #5, you would
eliminate the slack action of the 802's and would still have the delayed
action.

I also think this could be done by our own S community....Bill Lane has the
knowledge and equipment to make this happen with "our" support and would be
able to make them in brass...very strong. There is of course
cleaning/de-burring, assembly, painting/coloring etc. and marketing.... but it
can be done!

Just som fuel for thought.

S Gaugingly yours, Peter Loeb
