Okay! I phoned Sam Powell this morning. As I have all the Allen Keller tapes,
I'm sure I have this one. Sam said it was tape # 4. I have tape # 4 and will
check it out. Sam said those on the tape are an On3 modeler with a last name of
North, John Armstrong's Delta O Gauge layout, Rich Shoops HO layout and Sam's S
scale layout. I have a feeling this tape is one of Kalmbach's and not one of
Allen's GMR tapes.

Anyway, Allen Keller has nothing against S gauge nor any of the other minority
gauges. Its just that there are thousands more HO and N gauge modelers [buyers]
than in all the other gauges combined. After all, he is in the business to make
money for his efforts.

So please cut him a break! His tapes [now disc's] are very professionally
done, they explain minute model railroad details and are worth the purchase. In
my mind anyway, and many of his GMR Discs-tapes are sold out.

I like the suggestion that we [The NASG] hire a professional to do a disc [or
more] and put them out commercially. I would like to see them done as well as
Allen does his. Then advertise and move them out to all the sellers we see at
train shows, Etc., Etc. The "Rub" there is that the NASG would be forced to
include all of S gauge. So, perhaps there should be one of each? (Scale -
American Flyer and Sn3.)

"S"incerely,
Bill Fraley
