Ed. Since the prototype trucks were A1A the
center axle was not powered so AF was correct
except they left out the center wheels since they
weren't needed anyway. A pair of cardstock wheels
could be glued to the inside of the sideframes to
simulate the missing wheels without reducing the
collector value since they could be easily
removed when your widow sells off your stuff.
Total cost: about 15ยข. You save $9.80 and,
(unless your wife keeps real close tabs on it),
her piggy bank won't show the withdrawal!
Incidentally, factory defects usually command
higher prices so you might just want t' leave it alone -
