After just a couple hours of sleep, I expected to be fatigued but the pace of
things would not allow that. Being gone for the extra days and the high level
of humidity made the track a bit dirty but the long ore car train ran and later
a greater variety of trains made their way around the layout. The best part of
the day was seeing old friends and making new ones. Thanks to great assistance
from Don Thompson, John Prior, Jeff Saine and my wife Marilyn, the cook out on
the deck went well. Only one regretable omission, the Canadian Pacific was a
bit late and most of the guests had departed. Tours crank up a bit early today
so I gotta go.

I neglected to mention one unusual thing about the trip back from Milwaukee.
About 1:30 in the morning we were on the freeway through St. Paul and a Snow
Plow truck merged in next to us....... I felt that might be a strange omen as
the snow season is still a couple of weeks away.
