I want to thank everyone who dropped by to see the Benn Central in the heart of south Minneapolis and the many positive comments. I also appreciate Don T's directive 'nice track and there better be scenery next time'.
The layout ran splendidly on Wednesday but developed some hiccups on Sunday with the addition of a pair of just-acquired RS-3s and two more Budd cars. Power drain was the name of the game. More on this below. I also want to thank those who assisted setting up the modular layouts in Duluth Thursday morning and taking them down Saturday afternoon. Because of convention duties I was unable to make any clinics or keep their schedule in my memory. This was my first NASG where I spent real time. I met for the first time many fine people and quite enjoyed the event. Back to power drain. After the last of the Sunday tour was over I took the floor off a Budd car and saw that it will be quite easy to replace the bulbs with lower amp bulbs or LEDs. If LEDs is there a better way reduce the voltage (DCC) other than placing a resistor in series with the LEDs?
