> Crafty way to sell convention cars!!!
> Jim "FIVE GOLD STRIPES FOREVER" Lyle

Hi Jim...

Crafty or not, it is a fact that both of these cars are 100% made in the goode
olde USA -- except for the AF-compatible trucks & couplers on the RTR versions.

Let me provide some more detailed information regarding sources of supply for
your edification:

CAD design: Illinois

Oil from wells in: southern Illinois

Oil processed in: Kentucky

Resin made from processed oil in: Michigan

Mold making materials from: Michigan

Painting and pad printing machinery (recent acquisitions) from: Iowa,
California and Connecticut

Inks for lettering: New York and New Hampshire

Paint: Texas (pigments from multiple USA sources)

Body casting: Illinois

Grab Irons and stirrups: Brass metal from Ohio. Wire forming dies from
Illinois. Bending, forming and cutting in: South Carolina and Illinois.

Boxes: Order placed with Chicago company with plants in Wisconsin, Ohio and
Tennesee. Not sure which plant will actually produce these boxes.

Instruction sheets: Printed in Indiana.

Yes, it is a convention car. No, it is not just another repaint. This is
brand new tooling for two cars and one load never before made in S scale. Yes,
I would appreciate your order. No, I do not think the price of $72 for a
painted & lettered kit is unreasonable when compared to other kits of similar
quality which are neither painted nor lettered. Yes, you should receive these
cars in time for Christmas this year (2010). No, there is no confusion over
where to send your check. See the web site at:

Gotta go now. Have fun with all this. Is your state a supplier?

Cheers...Ed L.
