The Sn2 Crew successfully traveled to St. Louis and set up the largest Sn2
modular layuout ever -- 20x50 feet in size with 37 modules. It ran as loop
to loop with three yards and a variety of Maine scenes along the mainline.

We ran sound-equipped Train and Trooper Forneys, a T&T railbus, and Frank
Knight's little boxcab diesel. All opeerated superbly and racked up a lot
of miles over the three days of show.

The trains ran the whole time under the control of a computer interface
that Frank has devised. It staged trains at the loops and automatically
stopped, started and threw turnouts so that they passed flawlessly at the
passing
siding (Frank's Alna yard) in the middle of the layout. This was very
impressive.

Because we were located at one end of the manufacturers' room, we had a
number of vendors who brought customers by to show their products in actual
use -- a real compliment.

Set up and tear down went more smoothly than ever before. Could it be that
we are getting good at it?

The participants at this show were Dave Keith of Ohio, Frank Knight of
Maine, and Lee Rainey of Pennsylvania. Frank's wife Yvette also was a great
help in the dismantling and loading.

We are looking forward to exhibiting at the Hickory show next year and
welcome new module owners to the group.

Lee Rainey
