I've been in this hobby for 45+ years, and am yet to be convinced on the merits 
of DCC. Far too often, I watch DCC layouts at shows, and they spend miore down 
time fixing/tracing faults, than they do running... and when they do run, it's 
tail chasing (usually with the inevitable rear end collision). Granted, 
probably the fault of the operators, but the system is certainly not user 
friendly. I can confidently leave my 7 and 5 year old grandsons running my Sn3½ 
and Gn15 layouts at shows while I go 'visiting'.....Turn the knob this way, and 
it goes faster. Turn it back to slow/stop. Through switch to change direction. 
Did I get that right?
