I just spoke with Dan Navarre of River Raisin Models. The project to build
USRA 0-6-0 switchers in S scale is not yet a lock. Dan needs 2 dozen more
deposits on the 0-6-0 project to make it a definite "Go". If he can get 10
more hirail version deposits, those will also be built. Currently eight
versions of the model are under consideration, but one or two could be dropped
if there is not additional support. The model versions of the USRA 0-6-0 being
considered are: Baltimore & Ohio; Nickel Plate Road; Pennsylvania; Grand Trunk;
Union Pacific; New York Central System (CR&I); Maine Central and Chicago
Burlington & Quincy - plus painted black only.

In order to push the project over the top, Dan is offering to maintain the
initial special offer price of $1299.00 for any deposits received by November
1, 2010. The deposit amount is $300.00. Dan will be attending the S Fest in
Tinley Park and can take deposits there. You can also find more information on
this project and other RRM offerings on their web site. A link to information
and the order form is listed below:

Disclaimer: Dan Navarre and I chartered River Raisin Models as a business in
1987 and were partners until 2007. I no longer have any business or financial
interest in the company River Raisin Models. Dan is one of my very best
friends, in or out of the hobby of model railroading. Any questions?
