Since we've been chatting about getting our stuff into magazines, this seems
like a good opportunity to mention another medium.
Starting November 1st, to coincide with National Model Railroad Month, well
known author Trevor Marshall and I will be launching a new podcast, The Model
Railway
Show.

Before you all roll your eyes skyward, let me say that Trevor and I both come
from broadcasting and writing backgrounds. Trevor felt there was room out
there for a short, sharp, tightly focused and entertaining podcast, and I'm
honored that he asked me to be his sidekick. Initially, the programs
will be twice a month, of twenty minutes duration, two interviews per show.
We don't want to keep you away from your workbenches or layouts for too long.
Our first two shows are ready to go. Although I confess to a few
post-retirement jitters on the first one, overall we think you'll like the
product.
Interviews already recorded or lined up, are with Tony Koester, Andy Sperandeo,
Bob Brown, Bill Schaumburg, Bill Kaufman of the NMRA, Byron Henderson of the
Layout Design SIG, and a whole lot of other heavy hitters in the hobby. Oh
yeah, and a guy named Dick Karnes.
As they say, "stay tuned".
