Reduce the size of the layout ! Take the springs out of the coupler boxes !
Heat the room and everything will expand.! Get a NYC diesel. John

This is a photo of a moving train.

the SAME train. The couplers actually stretch a little closer but do NOT
couple. I estimate that the couplers are about 3/8" apart.
How low can YOU go? Can you make a train get closer than that without
coupling? (:->)
