Frankly, and I know this sounds cruel, but when one is deceased his/her
train collection is up for grabs.

I've been at this hobby for more than forty years and have helped settle
many train estates. Most times the collections go for half their value or
even less. If a person has the time, they can eventually sell most of their
collection at a decent price, but most times the buyer, whomever it is,
wants to buy at a lower price.

Estate Sale? . I always explain that we try to get a better best price. I
just helped the Furmanak's. Linda is very pleased with the results. She,
like most widows had no idea of the price or value of anything Stan had. We
did and tried to get as much as possible for many of the items, but
eventually it comes to the point that all that is left is common and it's
stuff everybody has and has little market value.

How do I look at my Fifty years of "S"tuff?

"Dear Mary, when I pass on, bring in the dumpster,

we all had fun with it, met wonderful people, and I ain't here anymore."

Fortunately, our son said the model railroad "S"tuff is going to California,
so you California modelers are eventually getting another S Scaler out
there!

But if it doesn't happen . "Get the dumpster Mom!"

Love and (Hershey) Kisses,

Bill (Fraley)
