the oven is gas and I do most of the cooking here.  really.

I have never heard of Weaver Scale Coat Paint
I bake all of my plastic models in my kitchen oven after I paint them.
My advice is to not do that.
The temp you mentioned is too high for me. I use 150 F. +or- 10 degrees max
If the element can see the model it will probably ruin the model.
I assume the oven is electric, bad assumption though.
Your wife will not like the smell. My wife left me long ago, no problem.
Pay Bill Lane to paint it for you.
