Actually, credit for the idea goes to "S"ilent "S"teve Doyle. I took note of the fact that he had painted the hand grabs on [some?] of his Caboose Industries ground throws and went from there. Painting the drums makes them more visible to us old heads with more seniority.
Now that I have properly credited him, do you suppose I can con him and Dave Jasper to come and plant some trees for me :<) Seriously, I [think] I've been making some progress in this department with local weeds in the midst of their winter slumber. I'll post some photos later so those with more experience can critique my efforts, and advise me on using natural plants.
