Dear Bob:
This is an important car. Although I have frequently purchased equipment
to just help the hobby, I plan to sit this one out. The SAL round top boxcar
is
an important railcar but the date of my layout is 2011 and will advance with
the
calendar. The 'operating museum' contains way too much equipment already.

The other issue is time. I recently counted and realized I already have well
over 50 kits (boxcars, PRS covered hoppers (my favorite), buildings, HMS
Mayflower) to build and about 30 scratch building projects (electric
locomotives
(14+), modules, trolleys and interurbans, more) in the works. Plus my book
project (first proofs hoped for in six short years). The SAL kit will never
rise to the top of the priorities list. This kit will just gather dust, hoping
someday to recover purchase price (ignoring inflation). I don't see it as a
good purchase for me.

But if you are three short, contact me again. You know I am a sofftie and can
scrape up the funds.

Good luck on this project! Nice flyer! I hope it is a go! This IS the way to
get this done!
Thorin

Ok, folks... here is a link to a flyer I just finished making for my Seaboard
B-7 round roof box car model. I designed it as a web page, but it can be
printed and distributed freely by anyone and everyone who wants to see this
project happen.

PLEASE print it out and distribute it to your hobby shops, clubs, any train
shows or conventions you attend, and all your railroad modeling buddies :

Or... you can just share this link with others.
