One of the leaf springs on my tender cracked at the joint. I took it out and
gave it a bit of thought. Where would I get a replacement? Probably no where.
Could I make one? Hmm. Then it came to me. Why not solder it and put a bit
of 0.020" wire behind as as bit of strengthener. It works well.

Hopes this helps anyone that has come across this problem.

BTW, I have been in the process for awhile to draw up a correct CNR/GTW clear
vision tender, running boards, steps and cab to modify it to a P-5 class 0-8-0.
If anyone is interested in converting theirs, please let me know.

cheers,

Andy Malette
