Yes, those of you coming to California will truly enjoy Ed’s, Don’s and Arden’s
layouts: they are real NS model railroads like you see in the magazines.
Better yet, they are in the perfect scale!

The better choice is the trip to see S-related layouts, including Uncle
Edward "Jones" Loizeaux's scale layout. The trip includes some
transportation on a Capital Corridor train and BART.

That is the trip I will take on Wednesday.

Folks....

Thought you might be interested in this new tour for your time scheduling
contemplations. Keep in mind there are so many events at this convention,
it will be humanly impossible to participate in all of them. Choices must
be made. Sometimes two highly desirable events occur simultaneously. Sorry
about that, but careful advance planning on your part will minimize the
conflicts.

UP's Roseville yard is a large and interesting place. All the trains coming
into this yard are re-sorted for destinations to the North (Portland,
Seattle, Spokane, Vancouver, etc.) or to the South (Los Angeles, San Diego,
etc.) or to the West (Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, etc.). Lots of
train and hump yard activity and lots of engine maintenance facilities to
be
seen from the bus.

Here is the announcement from the horse's mouth:

Due to the overwhelming demand for tour P404, we have arranged with the
Union Pacific Railroad for a third bus to tour their Roseville Yard. The
third bus will depart at 12:30 Wednesday afternoon and is designated tour
P444. Due to the imminent closing of the on-line store, tickets for this
tour will ONLY BE AVAILABLE AT THE TOUR DESK at the Convention. The tour
price is $20.

"S"alivating yet?.......Ed L.
