UP's Roseville yard is a large and interesting place. All the trains coming into this yard are re-sorted for destinations to the North (Portland, Seattle, Spokane, Vancouver, etc.) or to the South (Los Angeles, San Diego, etc.) or to the West (Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, etc.). Lots of train and hump yard activity and lots of engine maintenance facilities to be seen from the bus. Here is the announcement from the horse's mouth: Due to the overwhelming demand for tour P404, we have arranged with the Union Pacific Railroad for a third bus to tour their Roseville Yard. The third bus will depart at 12:30 Wednesday afternoon and is designated tour P444.
