Some years ago, Scenic Express used to re-sell Smith and Sons ballast, I really
liked the product a lot. Scenic Express switched suppliers, so having the Smith
and Son's contact info is really handy, thanks!
Woodland Scenics is crushed walnut shells, died for color. They tend to cling
more with static and float when wetted, but can be fine with careful work. It
is also more uniform color, which is not necessarily a good thing.
