* * *

These are the forty-foot, double door boxcars that Pacific Rail Shops offered
(shown with PRS numbers), excluding special cars for clubs, conventions and
dealers:

B-351 UP
B-352 GN
B-353 SP
B-354 Seaboard
B-355 WM
B-356 SSW 1955
B-357 Southern 1937
B-358 Southern 1948
B-359 CG 1944

Pacific Rail Shops offered these boxcar variations:

1. AAR 50 ft. boxcar single door
2. AAR 50 ft. boxcar double door
3. 1937 AAR 40 ft. boxcar 10’ Inside Height round W corner
4. 1937 AAR 40 ft. boxcar 10’ Inside Height square-corner
5. 1937 AAR 40 ft. boxcar 10’ 6” Inside Height
6. AAR 40 ft. boxcar 10’ 6” Inside Height Double Door

The dates shown above came from PRS. The only thing I can add is that the
fifty-foot boxcar is a 1955 version of a 1942 design with post-1945 Youngstown
doors, post-1948 diagonal roof panels, 1950 improved dreadnaught ends and
full-length reinforced side sills.

* * * Notice to travelers * * *

Should there be any misunderstanding between you and our Agents or Conductors,
will you kindly do as they say, take receipt for fares paid and WRITE the
GENERAL PASSENGER AGENT at San Antonio, giving full particulars, and he will do
his best to render entire satisfaction, consistent with good business
principles.

Don't think that our Agents or Conductors are trying to get the best of you;
they are only endeavoring to carry out their instructions as best they can. You
know that a Conductor is often placed under the most trying circumstances.
While his train is running he is frequently called on to act in the capacity of
a Judge, Lawyer, Arbitrator, Pugilist, Walking Encyclopedia and NURSE. He must
care for the women and babies.

We try to get good men; it is hoped that you will find them so.
