I purchased a large number of Fred's tires. They 303 stainless steel and
single point turned on a CNC lathe. These are the nicest tires I have ever
seen made in S scale. I found no evidence of any tooling marks any where on
the tires. I stated checking the ID tolerances and after checking the first 40
or so found they were all with in 0.0002" (that is ten thousands and not just
thousandths)
Fred's kits, both the 2-6-0 and the 4-6-0 are on par with the Boo Rim models
products and in certain aspects even better. They definitely put the O scale
kit stuff to shame
