I have widened the Bachman On30 passenger truck. I made a wider copy of the 
bolster in styrene, and used S Helper scale wheels. Mine are on a milk car.

Take a look at the Bachmann On30 passenger car truck. It's a three piece truck, 
bolster and two sideframes that are screwed together.  They should be able to 
be widened out for S by making some spacers.

They may not be 100% accurate, but be closer than anything available.
