Protomodeling doesn't have to be museum attitude, I model with the same
attitude whether modeling in proto or common scale mode. The only difference
that is actually mandatory is building the track to the corresponding specs.
P64 should be within the capabilities of about
70 % of modelers as that's likely the combined number of HO and N modelers who
are already working to as fine or finer tolerances than P64. I think the big
question is not whether one can make it work but instead should be does one
want to pay for it? The replacement wheels are not cheap and scale cars come
with code 110 wheels by default so P64 modelers have to pay twice. ..DaveBranum
