I think the issue of whether NMRA offers S scale track gauges is a pretty minor issue. S will get stronger if we participate more in NMRA events. - Earl Henry, Nashville In a message dated 1/9/2012 7:09:16 A.M. Central Standard Time, [email protected] writes:
This gauge _https://www.nmrastores.com/Public_Store/product_info.php?products_id=52_ (https://www.nmrastores.com/Public_Store/product_info.php?products_id=52) is not available from the NMRA in S Standard gauge. Who can show me one? If 1 was made I would think that in my 24 years of being in S Scale I would have at least seen one at least once in someone’s tool box. The only reason why any of these _http://nasg.org/clearinghouse.html_ (http://nasg.org/clearinghouse.html) standards gauges are available is because they were produced BY the NASG out of necessity and being ignored by the NMRA. Sorry TC but I am NOT wrong….. &nb sp; If the NMRA made a clearance gauge I am sure I would get some even if I rarely used it. I use the NASG track and wheel gauge frequently. How you can miss my point? Saying the NMRA should NOT make the gauges because the NASG did is putting the cart before the horse. For the NMRA to be the all embracing encompassing organization it is alleged to be it would put in the good welcoming face if it made gauges in all scales - however obscure even it if was not a profit making venture. To me that says they do care about all scales & not just the major 3…… I don’t know how else I can make my point here.
