It is Whitmore. He has named the pattern-maker he had problems with, I cannot
remember it. DJE

  Group,

I don't think there is a Mr. Kaslo. The name of the owner/developer of KASLO
products is John Whitemore, not sure about the spelling. I understand that Mr.
Whitemore has engaged a pattern maker to produce the BUDD cars for the "New
England States" passenger train. I have become acquainted with the pattern
maker through contacts on another list. I cannot say how far he has progressed
with the development. Remember that Mr. Whitemore's pattern maker initially
employed fell on some difficult personal circumstances and pattern makers
cannot be easily found, I assume.

  Tom

  Hi Earl.....

That is good to hear. There is no reason not to contact a vendor directly if
there is a question of any kind. Direct contact with a supplier is always the
best first step.

Being critical is fine as long as it is based on facts. The important thing
is to be certain the criticism is accurate and deserved. It wasn't too long ago
many folks were critical of the Lionel/AF U33C before any of them had even seen
it. This behavior is not reasonable.

No particular need to let me know, but letting the entire List know might be
helpful to other folks in a similar situation. By the way, John Whitmore is the
name of the fellow who owns Kaslo Shops.

I hope his reply to you is satisfactory.

  "S"incerely....Ed L.
