group:
recently purchased a kaslo ps-1 at OSW, apparently the original owner of the
kit,
stated out without reading the instructions, and then apparently misplaced the
instructions, so i emailed kaslo regarding the possibility of obtaining
duplicate
copies, within an hour i had received duplicate copies via email, however there
is
a duplicate error regarding steps 3 & 4, and when i questioned kaslo regarding
this duplication, i was met with dead silence, apparently i have hit a sore
spot,
so if any of the dozen individuals out there who purchased a ps-1 kit (counted
from message history) could help me out, i would appreciate it, my problem
concerns mounting the door and it's associated hardware, since the car body has
a odd shape indented space where the door is to be fitted, is this space to be
filled
with any material, to brng it even with the carbody side? are the door latches
meant to be bent around the door frame edge? and lastly is the door handle to be
mounted into holes (to be drilled, and if so, what size drill?, or are the lugs
meant to
be bent and then attached to the door? not faulting the quality of the kit, the
workmanship is outstanding it is a shame that producing resin kits is so labor
intensive, as this car was the 2nd most popular design for the railroads, and
yet
here we are having to deal with limited runs of a kit, while kadee has taken
their
model to new heights, appreciate any and all assistance, and if anyone has a
spare
kit )i am looking for 4 more), please contact me offline
thanks
mel perry
