Lance Mindhiem is doing the headphone trick.  In his latest blog entry, he has
gone wireless....Check out his blog:

The headphones are great for representing the "in-cab" feeling....
Possibly for the crew on the ground too....This is acceptable for
TT&TO operations.  However, for modern radio operations, the
speaker sounds should include dispatcher and such too...

However, for the person railfanning, the headphones are not "right".
The railfan needs the sounds to come from each loco...
