Luther....

In addition to the size, make sure the RPMs are about the same as the original 
motor.  Otherwise the speed of the loco will be different -- which could be 
good or bad, depending.  

It is rare to hear of a motor simply wearing out from too much running.  What 
do you think might have caused it to fail -- if anything?  The replacement 
motor might also fail if the root cause is not determined and fixed.
