I'm a big proponent of honoring those who served our scale over the years. When
I hatched the idea of a Library, I recommended naming it the Russ Mobley
Library since he had only recently been deceased.
Now whenever someone asks who Russ Mobley was, someone will answer and in that
way, his memory will go on.

I did fail to get support for my idea of an S Hall of Fame and it sort of went
away. Perhaps now would be a good time for the NASG BOT to revive the proposal
so we can give lasting honor to the large list of those who did so much for our
scale.

BTW, I noticed that our O scale brethren have one:

"Folks
Why take away from Mr Sandersfeld and his contribution to S?
Why not if we Do NOT have one, A Hall of S Fame, open to persons or companies
or a S Academy type of award that would honor all under one umbrella for their
contribution to the advancement of the S world of model railroading?
Don, Mike, & Robin do deserve to recognized fore their devoted service to S,
but not at the expense of someone else, please."
